She resolves that her mission in life is to revenge (herself on the judge who sentenced her. She entangles the Jujlge in an intrigue and is about to ruin liim, when she real ises that she really loves him. Then she exposes a plot against him and with heroic self-sacrifice .she goes to her old-time lover. "Bitter Truth" is one of the best of the American series of which "Within the Law" was the forerunner.
