TOR HOARDING FOOD.
Magistrates-in England are heavily fining hoarders of food. Lady Gore-Langton was fined tSU She had bought sufficient tea to last a y °Miss Marie Corelli, the fiction-writ-er , when fined £70, protested that she was patriotic and denied that she had been hoarding food. "You police,' she exclaimed, '' are overstepping your duty and upsetting the country. Mr Lloyd George will be resigning to-morrow, and there will be a revolution in England m less than a week.'" The public applaud the prosecution ot society food-hoarders. Miss Corelli purchased 831b of sugar a month and 431b of tea, some being purchased locally Cslie lives in Stratford-on-Avon), and some in London. She pleaded that she made 1251b of jam. Lady Gore-Lang-ton had 1251b of tea, 351b of coffee, and many other articles, some of which were concealed under the top floor. . e
