BACK FROM THE WAR.
A I,rain passed through i'=evi,i uu Month ty morning carrying the Wellington and southern men of Draft 134 of returned soldiers, who reached Auckland on Saturday morning. Another draft reached Wellington at the weekend. Two Levin boys, who came home with these drafts reached here yesterday and were, welcomed by their friends and by representatives of the Patriotic Society. Private IST. Williamson, son of Mr F. Williamson, and brother of Mrs T. JeniTian, of Levin, was a through passenger to Wellington, haying to report there owing to his papers being mislaid. He went away with the Twelfth Reinforcements and has therefore seen over two years' service. He was wounded in France but is making a slow recovery. Private Williamson will be back in Levin in the course of a dav or two.
Private A. Walker, son of Mr |.H. Walker, returned to Levin after an absence of three years and three months. ' He was a Main Body man and one of the original Anzacs. Private Walker was wounded in an explosion on Gallipoli fragments of inetal indicting several wounds in different parts of the body. He was sent off Ihe Peninsula and theai contracted dysentery from whiph recovery was slow. He has been for the past two years in convalescent camps and on duty in England. Needless to say Private Walker is (very pleased to get back to His home country after His long period of service abroad, and is looking forward to freedom from military (lxilies tliiifc he iS well entitled to. He was accompanied to New Zealand by his wife and six-months-old daughter. t
