U.A.O.D.

The half-yearly meeting of the Horowhenua Lodge of Druids was held in the Druids' Hall last evening- Bro. J. O'Donoliue. A.D. presided over a good attendance of members. A good deal of correspondence was dealt with, including an appeal on behalf of the widow and family of a late member of Wairoa Lodge. The balance sheet for the half-year was read by the secretary, and showed the funds to be in a very satisfactory- position. The total funds amounted to £1,479 10s 6d. D.P. Bro. McKnight attended and installed the following officers: A.D. Bro. O'Donohue; V.A., Bro W. Akenson; secretary, Bro. Young; treasurer, Bro. Mclntyre; Inner Guard, Bro. de Malmanche; O. Guard, Bro. E- Johnson; A.D. Bds, Bros Wilson and Tait; Y.A. Bds, Bros Fiulayson and Prime. P.A. Bro A. Smith, of Hanawatu, ably carried out the duties of M.C. Owing to the next meeting falling on Boxing Night, it was decided to hold it on Friday, December 28th.
