TEACHERS' INSTITUTE.
The first annual meeting of the Horowheiiua Distinct Educational Institute was held at Otaki State School on Saturday under the Presidency of Mr A. J. Harding, First-a.ssi.'4:.ant Levin D.H.S. There was a good attendance of members from the various schools ranging from Tokomaru' to Paraparaumu. The secretary in pres. enti-ng tire animal report spoke of the good meetings which had been held every other month at Otaki and 'Lovlll alternately. He stressed the' benefit that •acorucd to teachers by thus meeting and exchang'.ng ideas and experiences. It would be an advantage however, if the women members attended in larger numbers.
