The annual visit of two Palmers ton rinks to Levin took place yesterday and a couple of enjoyable games resulted on the local green, tooth ending in a win for the visitors. Twentyone head!® were played ahd by a curious coincidence the scores in both; riniks were 13 to 9on the 15th head. From thfe out, however, the visitors forged aheadl, and eventually Avon by a fair margin. The final scores were: — Palmerston.—Jewell, KeiV'lake, Nicholls. The firfct of the series of matches be. tween JToxton, Levin and Shannon was played yesterday on ihe Shannon green under very pleasant conditions. Mr P. BDennessy, vice-fpres-ident of the Shannon Club, in the absence of the President, welcomed the visitors, and after play, Mr E. S. Lancaster, President of the Levin Club, thanked the Shannon bowlers for the hospitality with which they had treated the visitors, especially mentioning the ladies for the excellent afternoon tea provided.
