DISASTROUS FIRES.

Dunedin Outbreak Damage—£6o,ooo. [I'ER I'UESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, November 8. A disastrous fire occurred at John Edmonds' hardware shop and warehouse in Princes street this morning. It originated about the centre of the building shortly after two and the roof fell in at three. Two firemen named Goldsmith and Adamson were thrown rom a ladder and injured. Nothing is loft of the building but the outer walls The damage is roughly estimated at £50,000 on the stock and £7000 on the stock. It h believed Edmonds' insurances total £35,000. Damage by water was done to the Grand Picture Palace, £3000 ; and also to the Public Trust and Steel's clothing factory.
