HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Last Night. The High Commissioner's cabled market report, under date London, 20th inst., states that quotations, unless otherwise specified, are the average market prices on the spot. Meat: Home killed mutton and beef in fair supply, all descriptions of frozen meat very scarce; New Zealand mutton, per lb, 8 7-Bd, ewe Sid; Argentine 11 3-8 d; N.Z. lamb lOd; Argentine Hid; Patagonion, lOd. Argentine beef in fair supply, chilled hinds 113 d, fores 9|d. Butter: No official quotations, with the exception of Paris, 230s to 2355, and Irsh creamery 2245. New Zealand, Australian, and Argentine, no supplies available; Danish, no supplies available. At the Tooley Street market small sales had taken place for the provincial markets as high as 4505. The chccsc market remains as last reported. New Zealand makes and Australian at the Government price. English Cheddar 1375.
Hemp: Manila and N.Z. markets show no changc. The wheat market is quiet, but firm. Moderate business has been done in No. 2, Manitoba, Northern, at 745; No. 1, white Canadian 74s Gd, Australian 82s.
