MAORI PATRIOTIC ENTERTAINMENT.

Lovers of music, mirth, and native dancing should not fail to attend the patriotic performance to be held at " Everybody's" on Monday evening. The programme includes pratriotic songs, with spectacular effect, poi and other native dances, and the notable Pahikura haka. This will be performed by 20 Maori men, and is an exact representation of what was seen at Gallipoli, after Maori soldiers had captured several Turkish trenches. The committee responsible for the supply of comforts to the Maori soldiers has bought up this season's supply of mutton birds from the South Island, and recently forwarded 1000

tins of pipis, in addition to 4450 mutton birds and several cases of woollen comforts. It is to add to the fund of this praiseworthy and helpful cause that this entertainment has been organised, and the committee has received a letter from Major Dr. Rangihiroa Buck, in France (late M.P. for Northern Maori electorate), showing how

the boys at the front appreciate the good work executed on their behalf by the Lady Liverpool and Mrs Pomare's committees throughout New Zealand. The special appeal being put forth will doubtless be responded to heartily by Levin residents. His Worship the Mayor will preside. " Everybody's " should be well packed on Monday evening.
