FARLAND'S PICTURES.
JOHN BULL'S EMPIRE ON MONDAY. At Farland's on Monday the famous kinemacolor film, " John Bull's Empire," will be screened. For sheer magnificence the tone effects of these pictures which are photographed in the natural colours will prove a revelation and a feast of pleasure. Many beautiful and, stirring events in /various parts of the world are shown. Life in Canada is intensely beautiful and interesting. An Alligator farm in California is a novel picture and there is the Royal Horse show in Richmond and a fine Stag Hunt in Devon. Scenes of Royalty in England and Ireland never fail to arouse the greatest Included also in this Err r ire series is a section dealing -vita New Zealand's Wonderland, which were specially taktn for and shown by arrangement with the New Zealand Government. The Kinemacolor process which shows everything in the true colours has been greatly improved in recent times and will prove an agreeable change to the ordinary pictures. To-night's programme has two big dramas competing for pride of place. Handsome Olga Petrova is starring in "Flaying with Fire" which is billed as a Metro wonder play. Bessie Barriscale is at her best in " The Reward." ( Two notable films.on the way are "Peg o' the Ring " and " The Common Law," Clara Kimball Young's best.
