RIFLE SHOOTING.
LEVIN CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Levin Rifle Club was held at Mr D. S. McKenzio's rooms last evening. After the transaction of the usual routine business the election of officers was held and resulted as follows: President and shooting captain, Mr Bertram : vice-presi-dent and vice-captain, Mr A. P. Jones ; shooting committee, Messrs S. Butts, J. Munro and D. S. McKenzie.
Some slight difficulty having arisen in regard to the range Messrs Bertram, Munro and Ingram were given power to make the best arrangements possible with the propietor of the land, Mr Honore, and it is anticipated that a satisfactory arrangement will be arrived at-
Mr Bertram, the new captain, is a shot of Dominion-wide repute and is the holder of several championship belts. Under his coaching, therefore, the club should be a tough proposition for opponents, especially as there are a number of first-class shots among the members, and there seems no reason why a good season's sport shouls not be obtained.
