Red Gross Shop

KOBUTAiROA DAY. The ladies of Koputa'roa were in charge of the' lied Cross shop in 'Levin on Tuesday. Unfortunately heavy rain interfered with business, but the sum of £14 was taken, .which, under the circumstances, may be regarded as 9 very creditable, i-csult. 'The big caike offered for competition was won by Miss Iris Phillips, of Lo ! vin. The ladies iwho superintended operations were Mrs Best, Miss Best, Mrs Kilsby, Miss Kilsby and Miss It. Johnson. P. Blown. Healey, Wallace. Kirk. Eichter and' Masses Stedcole and Murray. Mrs PlLaslter saw to the afternoon, tea. The com- - mittee wishes to thank Mrs J. Parsons for sending dainties for it, as she does each week. Miss Hotter and Miss O'Donnell were in ohairge of the Eed Cross shop last Saturday. The 'amount taken was £8 14s 3d.
