The executive of the National Welfare Association has adopted a resolution viewing with (satisfaction -the Prime Minister's expressed willingness to hold the General Election at the usual time; and to that end hopes that the Government will support Messrs Witty and 1 Ell. Individual members of Parliament are being circularised to support Mr Watty's bill. THE LIBERALS. Wellington, This Day. A full meeting of the Liberal Party was - held this morning when all the member? in Wellington were present, and Messrs Carroll, Glover and Ell, who were absent were accounted for. Sir John Finlay was welcomed as a ir.emhens of the party. A general d-'| elusion took place on matters of interest to the party, and the followi'Mr resoluion was unanimously passed: Hiat thv-- meeting of members of the .Liberal Party desires to pledge its continued confidence in and' loyalty to "' :Mr l en( ] er- g; r and wish to leave the settlement of all matters affecting the Liberal Party to him."
