TRIBUTE TO A LEVEN WORKER.
(To the Editor). Sir,—On Wednesday of last wee'k the Wellington Young Men's Christian Association had tho interior of its building beautifully decorated for the occasion of the sale of work conducted by the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Association. An appeal was made to friends in the country to take part, aa most of the money raised 'by this sale of work was to be expended in tho interests of soldiers who used the building. Owing to tho energetjic and enthusiastic work of a young lady in Levin, the funds wore assisted by the splendid amount of £33. As quite a- number of persons in Levin took part in this effort, I would bo glad iP you would kindly allow mo to thank the various donor.';, and especially Miss Ivy Middlemiss, for liter great nart in collecting the money and tho gifts.—Yours faithfully. Mis* Middlcmiss' list was made up of £20 cash. , two sheep, one pig, one sucking pig, oilmen pairs of poultity, throe sacks of vegetables, two boxes of preserrcK, two cakes, two knitted scarves and one cap. The whole collection was valued at £33.
