LOCAL STOCK SALES Messrs. 'Dialgety n.nci C . Ltd , riport liaving held their monthly stock sale at Otaki last "Wednesday, when tnev offered a good yarding of s-l.eep and cattle. Tliere was an improved tone, competition being animated,and the whole entry was cleared' at satisfactory prices. Quotations: Ewes in lamb to 32s 6d, fat, hoggets to 30s 6d store ewes to 25s 6d, m.s. hoggets 20s, 22s 2d, 22s sd, to 24s ,9d. Forward cows £7 7s to £8, store cows L 2 12 6d to L 8 10s, springing heifers "L 8 t I*ll 10s, yearling bulls I>s 10s, m >. wi-nvpr"! to L 2 ?s.
At iLevin on Tuesday prices ruled ns under: Light fat ewes to 26s 4d, f.m. ewes in lamb 22s 7d to 30s 6d.
