Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report.—At Levin on Tuesday we lmci a fair yarding of sheep and a good one of cattle. There was a very little demand for sheep, but cattle showed an improvement on late sales. Quotations.--'Small lambU 15s; ..fat cows £11 7s, £I'l 18s, £12, £12 10s, £13 to £14 17s <3d; fat cows and heifers £14 ; fat heifers £11; forward cows £6 6s, £7 4s, £7 lis, £8 18s 6d to £9; 31 and. 4-year bullocks £16 10s; 3-year bullocks £15 ; 2J-y.car bullocks £11 16s; 3-year bullocks (bad colours) £1$ 17s 6d; store cows £5 10s to £7 3s; heifeis in calf £7 15s to £11 ss; cows in milk £9 15e; Bulls £11. ADDINGTON MARKET. Christchurch, April 18. At the Addington market to-day the entries of fat lambs and , store sheep were, smaller than last week, hut m other departments the yardings were larger. Fat cattle sold well and fat lambs were firm, prices per head for the latter being better, as there was a large rproportion of prime lambs than last week. Good store ewes sold well, but .backward stores of all kinds were duller of sale. Fat sheep showed on advance in price especially prime wethers, which were fully 2s per head better. Store cattle were rather dull of sale at the prices asked, and' dairy cows were in keen demand. Fat pigs sold well.
