WEEKLY STOCK REPORTS. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ld., report as under:—

At Shannon on 12th January we had a small entry of sheep and a good muster of cattle. Owing to the dry weather bidding was slack, but we had a satisfactory clearance at the following rates:—G-tli ewes 31s 4d, store ewes 255, 2-tli wethers small 26s sd, 2 and 4-th wethers 32s od. woolly lambs small 17s 6d. .Fat cows £10 to £12, forward cows £7 los to £9 2s 6d, cows and calves £'11, bulls £7 10s to £9, selected Jersey cross weaner heifers £4 ss.

At Levin 'on the 16th instant we had a fairly good yarding of stock. Competition was fairly brisk and prices showed an improvement on the opening sales. All the sheep yarded sold under the hammer, while only a few small lines of cattle were left unsold. Light fat bullocks made £17 15s, 4-yr forward bullocks £15 17s Gd, light fat cows £11 to £11 16s, forward heifers £8 16s to £9 2s, store heifers £6 12s to £7 7s, store heifers £5 2s 6d to £5 12s 6d, forward cows £9 18s to £10 Is, store cows £7 10s to £8 2s, small and aged dittoi £4 to £6 ss, bulls £10 10s to £11, 18-mth empty heifers £6 ss, weaner heifers £3 3s to £3 13s, vealers (fair) £3 to £4. Shorn fat wethers 3<Js 4d, fat and forward full mouth ewes 31s 9d, aged store ewes 22s 3d to 235, 2-th wethers 32e 6d, fat ewes aaid lambs (good, all counted) 335, forward woolly lambs 20s to 235, aged Romney rams (potters) 355., porkers £2 to £2 7s, small ditto 32i> Gd to 355.

At Otaki on the 17th inst. there was a .moderate yarding of sheep and cattle. TJiere was a good enquiry and practically anything offered was sold at the following rates;.—Eat owes 31& to 31s 4d', 4-th wethers 335, 4-th wethers to f.m. 31a 7d, f-nu ernes and lambs 42s 2d, cull ewe.-, and lambii 23s 6d. small shorn lambs 16s 2d to lfis Gd, cull 2-tbs 13s. Good fat cows £13 to £13 17s 6d, lighter weights £11 10s to £12 10s, forward cows £10 3s to £10 10s, fresh conditioned cows £8 2s 6d to £8 17s 6d, store cows £6 2si to £7 17s (3d. small and aged ditto £4 10s to £5 los, mixed weaners £2 10s to £3 10s, weaner pigs 9s.
