Queenstown Plunket Society

Mrs H. Davies presided over a good attendance of members on Tuesday evening last when the annual meeting of the Plunket Society was held. The report and balance sheet showed that good progress had been made during the year, the activities of the society being well maintained. The Plunket; work continues to be carried out by the District Health Nurse. Miss Titchener has recently been appointed to this position and the opportunity was taken to welcome her to the district. The Building Fund showed a marked increase On last year’s figure and it is hoped that the erection of the new Plunket Rooms will soon be accomplished.

The following officers were elected: — President, Mrs H. Davies; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames J. C, Scott, J. W. Miller and W. Hales; secretary, Mrs A. Tripp; treasurer, Mrs D. H. Walker; committeer —Mesdames W. A. Anderson, W. Davidson, L. :J G. Lynch, W. E. Robins, B, Marshall, P. Dougherty, Ti J. Donaldson, I. R. Norris, T. Luckie, E. R. Hopwood, and J. F. Spencer. The president thanked all members for their loyal and active support during the year and expressed the hope for a successful incoming year.
