Meeting in Arrowtown
A committee meeting of the appeal fox’ hungry children was held in the Council Chambers on Friday, May 7. There was a good attendance and arrangements were made tO" finalise the house-to-house collection of the Borough of Arrowtown and surrounding districts, and it is hoped to be finished collecting by May 12. A wonderful effort was made by the Gibbstou School children (eight in number) who handed in to the secretary the sum of £2 3s. These children are to be congratulated.
