RUGBY FOOTBALL

-Lecture at Cromwell

A very interesting lecture on football was given by Mr E. McGregor last Thursday night to a most appreciative audience. The three points on which his lecture was based were position, pace and penetration, and he discussed these as much as time would permit.

Mr F. Foote, at the conclusion of Mr McGregor’s lecture, gave a talk on refereeing, putting various questions relating to the game to the players present. Many points on which players were in doubt were fully explained by Mr Foote, and his talk was well received.

Another lecture like the one given by Mr McGregor at a not far distant date would be very beneficial to players this season.
