Farewell Presentation To P. and T. Officers

Last Thursday members of the Queenstown Post and Telegraph Department met to farewell Messrs N. T. Christopher and H. S. Walsh on the occasion of their departure to Invercargill and Dunedin respectively.

In presenting Mr Christopher with a silver salad service and Mr Walsh with a fountain pen, the postmaster, Mr W. Smith, expressed regret at'-dos-ing the services of two valued officers and wished- them every success in their new spheres. His remarks were supported by Messrs Walker, Donaldson, and Hanrahan. The recipients suitably replied.
