ROTARY
The Queenstown Rotary Club held its weekly meeting on Tuesday. The occasional address was given by Mr W„ Hayward. It was based on his experience gained as a member of the 2nd N.Z.E.P. in Egypt, Greece, and Crete. The speaker gave impressions of his association with the Greeeian people and the hardships endured, particularly by the women. He expressed concern for the future of the Government of Egypt when the British withdrew from active participation. The overseas toast, the “Bratiseava Club, ,r Czechoslovakia, was given by L. Evans and duly honoured. Several visitors were present.
