BEAUMONT MEETING POPULAR CENTRAL OTAGO FIXTURE

COVER DRIVE IN FORM

The Easter meeting of the Beaumont Racing Club opens on Saturday and as most of the horses engaged were seen out at the recent Cromwell and Birchwood meetings, the form disclosed there should help to throw some light on possible winners. The following horses should race prominently during the day:— Noon: Trial Handicap. Bonnie Lancer, Grania, Bonne Nuit. 12.45: Centennial Trotting Handicap. —Woodstock, Double Dillon, Pretty Dillon. 1.30: Happy Valley Handicap. —Cover Drive, Bren Gun, Irish King. 2.15: Easter Handicap.—Sea Flower, Hart Royal, Siegform. 3.0: Weatherstones Handicap. Haughty Lyric, Duvaals, Bright News. 3.45: President’s Trotting Handicap. —Roseland Hall, Double Dillon, Great Hall. 4.30: Stewards’ Handicap. —Young Bob, Wild Cry, Antibes. 5.15: Wood Memorial Handicap.King’s Victory, Bren Gun, Vanity King. Cover Drive The Happy Valley Handicap at Beaumont on. Saturday should give Cover Drive his second consecutive win. Beaumont Trial Handicap The horses engaged in this event have very little race form to recommend them with the exception of Bonnie Lancer and Grania and these two should fight out the finish. Roseland Hall Roseland Hall who won a division race at Wyndham on Saturday is engaged at Beaumont. Double Dillon may be the hardest for him to beat. Beaumont Rehandicaps The following are the rehandicaps for the Beaumont' meeting:—Happy Duvaals 9.6, Bren Gun 9.3; Weatherstones Handicap, Duvaals 9.5; Wood Memorial Handicap, Incitatus 9.6, Bren Gun 9.3.
