WEATHER

QUEENSTOWN Cooler weather was experienced last week, i specially at nights. Rain fell at the week-end and should do much good. WANAKA The beginning of the hist week was fine although strong winds have prevailed. Radii fell on Friday and the week-end was fine although cool and windy. The weather during the past few week-ends Invs been disappointing for those fishermen who travelled to the mouth oT the Matukituki river in hopes of landing one of the big quinnat which should now be running, as strong northerly winds have been blowing and the lake has been very choppy. Whitebait which has been running in the lake for some weeks were first seen at the mouth of the Matukituki this week-end and a small quantity was netted.
