The speaker at the weekly meeting of the Queenstown Rotary Club was Mr W. F. Sturman, Invercargill. In his capacity as town clerk, Mr Sturman gave an interesting address on the set-up of local bodies and the many services made available in urban and small townships. Referring to town-planning, Mr Sturman said that, unlike many townships, Invercargill grew to a set plan, the wisdom of which was to bo seen in the present day.
