A “ Mint ” of Trouble Two Men Fined £2

Resulting from a visit to the Central Hotel, Arrowtown, by Constable’ G. P, Ogilvie on Sunday, December 14, Robert Leslie Fletcher and John Boyd were each convicted and fined £2 (costs 10s) by Mr A. E. Dobbie, S.M., at,, the Queenstown Magistrate’s Court for being unlawfully on | licensed premises. Constable Ogilvie said that when he entered the bar of the hotel Fletcher made off but was caught. When questioned he said that he was there because he had brought a bunch of mint for the licensee’s wife. Boyd admitted the offence.
