EARD THIS ONE? A FISHY STORY. The other day a lady told me that 3/4-| was too much for a tin of Salmon. However, when we want to huy Salmon we give John Bull a quid and he says it’s good for only 15/-. He gives it to Brother Jonathan, who values it at 12/6 or less. Now no self-respecting Salmon would climb into a tin at pre-war prices. Not even a new chum! And in New Zealand the sales tax and duty alone equals the pre-war cos| of Salmon, so what! The dollar exchange rules out any fish from America—price or no price! At the moment we have moderate stocks only of Salmon, Sardines, Herrings in' Sauce, and—well, pop in and see us! When you’re out fishing all day it would be very nice to come home to a TIN of fish, wouldn’t it? CANNED! Selling like hot cakes! Canned Fruit Juices, including Orange, Grape Fruit, Blended.
