“B ” Grade Tennis
At Lowburn last Saturday, Bannockburn played Lowburn in the continuation of the B Grade competition. The afternoon was a little too gusty for steady play but both teams played good tennis with comparatively even scoring throughout the day, Bannockburn winning the last set to secure a win of 9—7. LADIES’ SINGLES Miss McNamara beat Miss Willson s —l, Mrs Collins lost to Miss Scott 3 —5, Miss Lawrence lost to Miss Drummond o—s,0 — 5, Miss Baird lost to Mrs Henderson 2 —5. MEN’S SINGLES 0. Scott beat J. Crookshanks 5—3, W. Scott lost to R. Clark I—s, J. Hodson lost to W. Clark I—s,1 —5, L. Crabbe beat R. Heaney s—l.5 —1. LADIES’ DOUBLES Miss McNamara and Miss Scott beat Miss Willson and Mrs Collins 5—3, Miss Lawrence and Miss Baird beat Miss Drummond and Mrs Henderson s—o. MEN’S DOUBLES 0. Scott and W. Crookshanks 5—2, Miss Scott and L. Crabbe beat Mrs Collins and R. Clark 5 —4, Miss Lawrence and J. Hodson beat Miss Drummond and W. Clark 5 —3, Miss Baird and W. Scott lost to Mrs Henderson and R.
