QUEENSTOWN CRICKET GROUND NOT SATISFACTORY
Ramblers Beat Cromwell Ramblers beat Cromwell by 71 rone to 59 in a match played at Queenstown at the week-end. The ground was most unsatisfactory for cricket, long grass making it impossible for batsmen to receive full benefit from their strokes. Scoring, therefore, is not a true indication of the play. Best scores were:— Ramblers: C. Nelson 18; V. McMillan 11. Cromwell: Wishart 16; E. Bell 11. Bowling Analysis.—Cromwell: Partridge, 4 wickets for 10 runs; Ramblers: •R. Anderson, 2 wickets for 8 runs; J. Hood, 2 wickets for 7 runs.
