STOCKING HINTS

Not every woman can have perfect legs or, just yet, perfect stockings. But there's a stocking sense.

Turn the seam a little to the outside of the, calf and it will give the illusion of straighten, slimmer legs.

Turn it a little to the inside and awkward knees look better.

No seams at all can add “ flesh ” to a too-thin leg, while an ounce of dusky silk, if sheer, can make the thick-through limb appear at least a little lighter. Think of stockings as a colour and blend them carefully to the major shade in your clothes. Three pairs of the same tint bought at once if you can possibly manage it will be economy. Match them up as they go along and you will never wail about your last pair.
