CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY Second round of the women’s single’s bowling championship at Wanaka resulted as follows (first six competitors mentioned having two lives and the remainder one life): — Miss Jopp, a bye; Mrs Perrow won by default from Mrs J. Morris; Mrs Halliday defeated Mrs Forth, 32-8; Mrs Robertson defeated Mrs Studholme, 18- Mrs Paterson won be default from Mrs Blanc; Mrs T. Anderson defeated Mrs A. McKegg, 26-11. Results of the second round of men’s singles bowling championship were: — A. C. Paterson, a bye; J. Perrow defeated A. Campbell, 28-15; W. Studholme defeated F. Norris, 22-17; T. Bridgeman defeated B. Ballantyne, 19- R. Stevenson defeated W. Robertson, 25-16; H. Harris defeated J. Dickie, 20-18; H. Halliday won by default from R. Miller.
