COMET PLAINLY SEEN
Considerable interest was evinced at Queenstown in the appearance of, the recently discovered comet. The comet was plainly visible in the west during last week, between 9 and 10 p.m. It appeared on the liorizpn- between Walter and Nicholas Peaks. The planet Venus, though not quite so discernible, was on the right of the comet.
