THIS WEEK’S RECIPE
GINGER SPONGE 3 tablespoons dripping. | cup sugar. | 11 tablespoons jam. Pinch of salt. 1 dessertspoon ginger. 1 teaspoon baking soda, li cups flour. 1. cup dried fruit. Milk to mix. Mix together dripping and sugar; then add jam, salt, ginger and the other ingredients except flour, including baking soda. Mix well. Add flour and enough milk to mix a good dough. .Steam three hours or more. This mixture, if bakedjmakes a good ginger loaf.
