SUMMER EYE-CARE
Good Sun-glasses One of the most important items in your summer beauty routine is the care of your eyes, because although you no longer have to read or work by artificial light, you do have to face the glare of the sun, which can be very tiring, particularly to anyone with weak sight. This season’s off-the-faee hats afford the eyes little or no protection, so if you want to avoid headaches and a general feeling of strain, invest in a pair of really good sun glasses. It will pay you to buy them from a qualified optician, who can, if necessary, make them up to prescription. Tinted glasses for reading are such a comfort when you are sitting in the hot sun, but even so do not read for too long at a time or your eyes may begin to burn. Staring at print is always tiring, so get into the habit of blinking, and every now and then gaze at some distant object, preferably something green. Care in Choosing Choosing glasses is rather like buying a new hat. You have to consider the shape of your face, the size of your features, and, most important of all, when you are trying them on you must look at yourself from every angle. If you have a small, retrousse nose, do not choose a pair with a heavy bridge and thick rims or they will swamp your face completely. Remember also that glasses should never hide your eyebrows or extend too far out at the sides. There are so many attractive frames to choose, from, in all shapes, sizes, and colours, so do let your sun glasses complement your carefully chosen accessories, and wear them with an air.
