W.D.F.F. MEETING

The monthly meeting of the Arrowtown branch of the W.D.F.F. was held in the school room on November 15, Mrs Summers presiding over a good attendance of members. Those present were; Misses Kinross, Paterson and Methven, Mesdames C. Walker, D. Cockburn, A. Hamilton, A. and R. Scott, J. Butel, W. Saunders, G. Bowler, E. Thompson, J. B. Hamilton, G. Hansen, J. B. Summers and H. McLean, Apologies were received from Mesdames W. Gibb, A. Reid, S. Stevenson, W. McLean, D. Reid and H Douglas. A letter was received from the Queenstown branch accepting an invitation to be present at birthday celebrations on November 20. Donations towards the Food for Britain fund from Mrs Stapp and Miss F. Paterson were acknowledged. The speedy despatch by Gibbston members of two parcels valued at £5, and forwarded for distribution amongst poor and needy in Britain was commended.
