DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB
An excellent attendance was present for the annual meeting of the Defence Rifle Club, which was held la«t Friday evening. The opening day has been set down for next Saturday, November 1, when it is hoped to see a good attendance. The following is the election of officebearers for the ensuing year:—President, Mr W. P. Saunders; vice-president, Mr W. R. Shaw; secretary, Mr M. Elliot; committee —Messrs J. A. Shaw, J. M. Butel, C. C. Johnston, W. J. Shaw, L. Ogg, W. R. Shaw, the president and secretary.
