SMALL BIRD MENACE

Wanaka residents await with interest the result of the request that a bounty he paid on birds’ heads and birds’ eggs. For the past few years small birds have been a menace to private gardens and as in other districts they destroy a fair quantity of fruit. The birds have so far this season proved a bigger pest than ever and it is felt that some step should be taken to prevent them causing further destruction.
