CRICKET SEASON OPENED

Queenstown Play Ramblers To officially open the cricket season the Queenstown club played the Ramblers club on October 12. Neither side completed the innings and runs came freely from the batsmen of both sides. Queenstown batted first and for the loss of six wickets knocked up a score of 1(13. Partridge (68) and Templeton (48 not out) were the highest scorers for the Queenstown club. Queenstown declared when six wickets had fallen and the Ramblers replied with a score of, 196 for the loss of six wickets also. Curtis (86) and Luckio (67) were responsible for most of the runs for the Ramblers club. The best bowling average Avas that of Owen Wheatley, avlio took two wickets for 16 runs.
