RATIONING CONTROLLER NEW RATION BOOKS On issue 'from Monday, 13tb October, 1947 Now Ration Books (7th series) will be issued betweeu Monday 13th October, and Friday, 24th October, inclusive. Details of whore and at what times to obtain your books will be found at the foot of this advertisement. If not otherwise stated, all Money Order Offices will be issuing offices. Help yourself and the Post Office by making early application. New ration books must be obtained before 24th October. HOW TO GET THE NEW BOOKS Who Con Apply Any person 16 years of age or over may apply on his or her own behalf. The head of the family may apply for all members of the family. An agent may apply on behalf of a sick or disabled person. The Principal is to apply on behalf of children at boarding school. i How To AppSy Application forms are at issuing offices (see Hst below). One form is to be filled in for each book. The current 6th Series book must be presented with each application. MEAT CONSUMER PERMITS; Country people proposing to take eat meat consumer permits (M using home-killed meat, this is compulsory) are to inform the issuing offieer. Permits will be issued with books from which meat coupons hav* been removed. ARMED FORCES: Members of the Armed Forces living out ef camp must present Form R. 8.4 (issued by the Commanding Offieer) with their eM ration books. LOST RATION BOOKS: If the current ration book is lost (or if yon have never boon Mewed with one) apply at the issuing office enquiry counter. VALIDITY OF COUPONS: Food cooaons in the new ration books wilt be usable from 27th October in accordance with the coupon calendar printed on back cover (with the exception of every fonrtfa butter coupon).
