LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS

As elsewhere in New Zealand the approaching local body elections have not- created a great deal of interest or excitement in Queenstown, though the elections are now comparatively close, the closing date for nominations being Wednesday, October 29, and election day itself Wednesday, November 19. Everyone should make sure that their names are on the roll and everyone over 21 years of age is entitled to vote. Very shortly the town clerk and county clerk will be calling for nominations of candidates for the various local bodies.
