Eighteenth Birthday Celebrations
A very enjoyable birthday party Avas held at the residence of Mr and Mrs E. L. Thompson, on Wednesday evening last week to celebrate the eighteenth birthday of their daughter, Gwendoline Mabel.' There were 30 guests present. Eecitations were given by Misses Terry, Kitto and Dickson, and Messrs W. Martin and J. Dalrymple. A solo was sung by Mr A. Bailey. Games and dancing were held during the evening. The Lucky Spot waltz was Avon by Mr P. Ayson and Miss E. Hedettrouck. On behalf of everyone present, Mr G. OgilA 7 ie thanked Mr and Mrs Thompson for the evening. Miss Thompson thanked the guests for the gifts she had received. Mr Thompson, on behalf of Mrs Thompson and himself, thanked Mr Ogilvie for his kind remarks. He also thanked Mrs Murphy for officiating at the piano. Birthday greetings Avere also given to one of the guests, Miss Gavcii Hanton, Avho celebrated her tAventy-first birthday on the same day.
