Sutherland, Dunedin, compose a house party at “ Sans Souci,” Eastern Terrace. * * * Before her departure for Dunedin on transfer to the staff of the Bank of New Zealand, Miss Mary Munro was formally farewelled by the, staff of the local bank on Tuesday. She was presented with a monetary gift by the manager, Mr R. J. Puller, who referred in complimentary terms to Miss Munro’s efficient service in the bank. Miss Munro replied. * * * The following were visitors to Queenstown for the Home—Badcoek wedding:—Mr and.Mrs Thorpe, Invercargill; Mr and Mrs McDonald, Invercargill; f Mrs Dunedin; Mrs Collie, Dunedin; Miss Jean Home, Timaru; Mr Len Daubhey, Christchurch; Mr Willis Brown, Invercargill; Mr and Mrs Larsen, Dunedin; Mr and Mrs Crosbie, Gore; Mr Blackledge, Dunedin; Mr Gerald Taylor, Timaru; Mr Murdoch, senior and junior, Balclutha; Miss Mary Pearson, Gore; Mr and Mrs Tonkinson, Dunedin. * * * Mrs W. Mclnnes entertained the • members of the Queenstown branch of the W.D.P.F. at a social afternoon at ' her residence on September 19. During the afternoon those present were shown many ornaments and articles that Mrs Mclnnes’s daughter Mary had brought home from different countries she had visited while s'erviug overseas with the Nursing Division. A competition arranged by the hostess was won by Mrs C. Hansen, and the consolation went to Mrs S. Maude. Mrs Mclnnes was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
