Wanaka School Teams Beaten by Cromwell

With liie exception of one basketball match Cromwell District High School teams beat Wanaka School teams in both basketball and football in matches played at Wanaka on Tuesday of last week. The football resulted in a win for Cromwell by 17 points to 8. The game was an interesting one. Three games of basketball were played. Results were: Cromwell A grade beat Wanaka by Id to 4, Cromwell B grade beat Wanaka by 12 to 1), and in a mixed game Wanaka won by 2 to 1. Afternoon tea was served to the children at the conclusion of t}he game, and Mr D. Simpson, headmaster of the Cromwell School, thanked Wanaka for an enjoyable afternoon.
