Miss Jean Allan

A kitchen afternoon for Miss Jean Allan was given before her wedding by local residents. The gathering was held in the Shotover Hall. Before afternon tea was served, Mrs A. Reid spoke on behalf of those present and for absent friends. The afternoon wa» spent with competitions and several games. The singing of “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow ” brought the happy afternoon to a close. An evening was also given Miss Allan by her manjr friends in Gore. The usual games and competitions were played, and many musical items were given. Many popular gifts were received.
