FAREWELL TO REV. P. C. WILLIAMS
Tributes to His Work
• A happy and friendly party met on Monday last week at the home of Mr and Airs Coll logwood, Ayrburn, to hid farewell to the vicar, Rev. P. C. Williams. and his wife and family. No effort was spared by the host and hostess to make the occasion a memorable one and the evening did not flag. Messrs Rowe and Erridge contributed vocal items and Mr and Mrs Williams acted two humorous sketches which were well received. Competitions were won by Mr Haggitt and Airs Douglas, and by* Miss Fletcher and All's G. D. Paterson. In making a presentation to Air and Airs Williams, Air D. R. Rowe spoke of their influence for good in the parish. He expressed regret at their departure, and wished them both health and happiness in their future home. Air Williams suitably replied. Air Rowe thanked Air and Airs Collingwood for their hospitality, Mr Collingwood replying. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne” brought to a close an enjoyable even-
