Gavin is at present spending a holiday at Invercargill., *& # # Mr and Mrs R. Y. Whyte , are at present in residence at Queenstown. # 'X' & Mr and Mrs J. Hewlitt, of Mataura, are spending a holiday in Queenstown. *. * * Mrs A. B. Macalister and family, of Invercargill are spending the school vacation in Queenstown. # * * Mr and Mrs J. Adams have left on a short visit to Winton. # # * Miss M. Sutherland left on Monday to spend a holiday at Dunedin. * * * Mr and Mrs J. Gilkison were visiting ski-ers to the town during the week. # * * Mr Arnold Wesney, of Dunedin, was a visitor to Queenstown during the week. * * * Miss Bernice Browne, of the Physical Welfare Department, visited Queenstown during the week. Miss Browne is the selector for the Otago Central Indoor Basketball team to meet Otago at Dunedin on Saturday, September 13. * * * Members and adherents of the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church at Queenstown, Miller’s Flat and Frankton are requested to note that services have now reverted to summer hours. *- «< * A presentation to the Rev. P. C. Williams, who is shortly leaving for Lawrence, was made last Saturday by the committee of the Queenstown Boy Scouts’ Association. For a number of years Mr Williams has been an able and effective helper in the Scout movement. Recently he has been Cubmaster. %
