BADMINTON
A team of Badminton players from Cromwell visited Queenstown and played the local club, Queenstown winning by seven games to three. Results were as follows (Queenstown names first) :
Men’s Doubles. —Nelson and Luckie beat Munro and Duthie 21 —12, Anderson and Wheatley beat Chisholm and B. Munro 21 —13, Davies and Muir beat Cowie and Hayes 21 —13. Ladies’ Doubles. —Mrs I null’s and Miss Muir beat Mesdames Walker and Brown 21 —3, Misses McDowall and Dagg beat Miss MeXanm'ra and Mrs McPholan 21 —7, Miss Coulson and Mrs Curtis beat Mrs Skinner and Maxted 21 —10.
Mixed Doubles.—Mrs Inglis and Nelson beat Munro and Mrs Walker 21—10, Luckie and Miss Muir beat Duthie and Mrs Brown 21 —10, R. Anderson and Miss McDowall lost to Chisholm and Miss McNamara 18—21, Wheatley and Miss Dagg beat B. Munro and Mrs McPhelan 21 —8, J. Muir and Miss C'oulson lost to Maxted and Cowie 18—21, W. Davies and Mrs Curtis beat Mrs Skinner and Hayes 2o —24.
