QUEENSTOWN DISTRICT TABLE TENNIS NOTES
Mrs. Roy Skinner is playing well this year. Mrs. W. Smith is a very consistent player. Playing top lady for Queenstown against Arrowtown, she had a great game with Mrs. Henderson, winning by 39 to 37. Miss Rose Muir is playing as well as ever. Miss Tui Biggar, a newcomer from Auckland, is improving with every game. All the Queenstown ladies are playing great games. It is interesting to note that they won 11 games out of 12 at Arrowtown. Arthur Curtis is a greatly improved' player this season. It was unfortunate that Miss C. Robertson was away on Holiday for the Arrowtown game, as she and Don Wade play well in the mixed doubles. Yic McMillan is playing well. When he develops his forehand drive he will be hard to beat, Les Inder was off his game at Arrowtown. He generally is pretty hard to beat. Hilton Hensman has a nice style. Someof hi* shot* are beautifully placed. Jim McDonald ia doing nicely. Keep it up, Jim. * It is goad to see the juniors progressing as well. All are very keen and deserve to get along. Lin Davies, Junior Club Captain, is a good type Of player; also Donald Mills. These tw« girls have a partienlarly fine atyli of play. Joan Thompson in doing well. She is one of the keenest members. Ann Stevenson and Cathie Cosgrove ana improving with every game. John Spencer and Pster Jones are both playing vary well. A ladder will be dranm up shortly 'for tho Junior Club members.
