VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE

Long Service Recognised After the monthly meeting of the Fire Brigade on Monday evening last, Superintendent W, H. Nelson was presented with his two-years’ service gold bar, making his total term in the Brigade 29 years. Fireman Clem McNeil was presented with a two-years’ service silver bar, bringing his service up to nine years with the brigade. Fireman J. Colin Gray was also presented with his three years’ service certificate. Secretary T. H. Tallentire, who occupied the chair, referred to the good work Superintendent Nelson had accomplished during his years of service •in the brigade, and to the other two firemen for their loyal interest in the brigade.
