STILL PICKING RASPBERRIES

As an indication of the mild weather experienced prior to the break last week, a local resident, Mr C. -1. Jones, of Stanlev street, handed in to a Mail representative a number of ; :u plerries that he picked that dav. Mr Jones stated that he had secured quite a number of these berries, and that the bushes were sti'l continuing to flower. Another resident advised of a similar occurence, having secured strawberwes within the last fortnight. However, all good things must come to an end. and true winter conditions now prevail.
